Pax Movement is a pacifist movement composed of scientists, engineers and technicians from different nationalities, with a compromise with themselves and with future generations for peace in the world and the pacific progress of mankind.
About our purpose
The only purpose of Pax Movement is to promote among science men and women the no participation in the development of weapons, wars and genocides in the world. It is based solely in the ideals expressed in Pax Resolution and is sustained in good will and self-compromise. It does not have any politic, religious or commercial links. It does not accept any politic, religious or commercial sponsorship.
About our people
Pax Movement is composed of enlistees, undersigners and promoters.
Enlistees are those scientists, engineers and technicians who have made a sincere compromise with themselves and with future generations to not supporting the development of weapons, wars and genocides, as stated in Pax Resolution..
To become an enlistee, all you have to do is read and understand the ideas expressed in Pax Resolution, and had make a compromise with yourself and with future generations to adhere to its ideals, i.e. not to colaborate with the development of weapons, wars and genocides, in order to achieve peace in the world, the pacific progress of mankind and the continuous developmnet of all countries.
Undersigners are those enlistees who want to declare publically their decision to work for peace only.
To become an undersigners, send us an email stating that you have made the decision to adhere to the ideals expressed in Pax Resolution, and we will add your name to our list of undersigners.
Pax Movement is much larger than it seems to be, because some enlistees, for fear of retaliation in their countries, have decided to support the Movement as a personal, private decision.
Promoters are those undersigners who also publically promote the ideals expressed in Pax Resolution.
About our origin
Pax Movement was started in May 8, 1998 by a panamanian engineering student.
